DallasGothic.com is an integrated community for underground cultures in the Dallas/Fort Worth MetroPlex. We are working hard to be your complete resource for concerts, night clubs, and other events happening here in the Metro, as well as extensive links.

Restructured the entire layout, making the pages more consolidated and improving the flow. The calendar is now being maintained by a couple of staff members, so hopefully it will be updated on a weekly basis again. Two new venues in Dallas have been opened with a lot of help from many people, and a lot of support from the staff here at DallasGothic.com. May they live long and prosper!

The calendar is now more current, and the DJ/Bands page formatted a little more to our original idea. LOTS of changes the last month, and LOTS more in the works. Even recruited a bit of a staff to help keep things up to date, so the calendar and links should be updated more often. Now, if only those pesky DJ's will send me their bio info....
Also retiring our old format for the top, seen here:

November 4, 2002, 2:12pm
Massive updates to all pages still in the works. Tried to get server moved before Halloween so our calendar would be updated, but things did not go in our favor, so ... well, we tried. Soon we will have the new server and everything will be updated on a regular basis again. Meanwhile, still uploading to our temporary site whenever possible, and working on things behind the scenes. Working on plans for the holidays, more to come on that soon!!
October 1, 2002, 5:51pm
Moved a temporary site to our business sites on www.sollitaire.com {Scarbrough Designs and AKA Designs}. Working on updates, and links, and testing out all of those revisions that have been in the works while we were offline.
Hopefully we'll be back up and running soon!

OK, we're on our way back from our "vacation." Due to the sudden and unexpected loss of our network administrator, we were offline and unable to update the site for several weeks. Now that we have a new admin things are easier thanks almost entirely to (Phil), our once again knight-in-shining-armor. I am glad things went well at Burning Man for you, my friend. We thank you again for your help, your time, and your patience.
Look for updates over the next few days/weeks to almost every part of this site. Major revisions are coming up soon.
August 26, 2002, 7:53pm
Effective immediately dallasgothic.com has severed ties COMPLETELY and PERMANENTLY with Shades, due to what we would deem a complete psychotic breakdown he seems to have suffered. This breakdown resulted in our webpages being removed for a short time {before he realized this action hurt many others, not just us}, our email access being denied for several days {until a third party convinced him to return that access}, and our access to the website complete revoked {until we had it moved to another server completely, cutting him out of the picture forever}.
For now our hosting is through an anonymous third party, until we are moved to a professional host and server over the next few days/weeks.
Thanks to all our loyal patrons for your patience and understanding. Those updates are coming soon!
August 15, 2002, 9:45pm

Well, these "test" pages seem to be getting some traffic after all! And we thought we were the only ones out here... ;) But, it appears we have a little premature advertising and some traffic already, so it's time to supress some of the pages until they are more ready.
Added a counter and login tracking system to the main page, and fixed a few links that were not online yet.
Added new javascripts and menus.
Time to start spending a bit more time on this project if we're already getting an audience!

Restarted work on DallasGothic.com after several months hiatus due to personal and financial issues of the creators. Initial images completed, colors and look decided, and internal content planned. Site brought online with the help of Shades and (Phil).
September 28, 2001, 9:30pm
Moved the DallasGothic.com headquarters from Mesquite, TX to Garland, TX. Continued working on the images and aesthetic design for the site.
August 27, 2001, 9:30pm
After much discussion about intent and purpose of the online community, a meeting of Jinx, AllyKatt, FireGirlZero, and SelfMutilation.net led to the purchase of WWW.DALLASGOTHIC.COM. Worked on ideas for the site, integrated community, and aesthetic feel.
SelfMutilation.net provided some pictures he had taken, and AllyKatt began designing the front page images. Upon request, (Phil) provided a DNS server, and DallasGothic.com was born.
June/July 2001
Many months of discussion between AllyKatt and Jinx about a need for organization of the gothic community in the D/FW metro brought us together with nEVeRmOre. Although there was concurrence about the need, it was determined that nEVeRmOre's ideas were a LITTLE different than those of AllyKatt and Jinx. Eventually it was agreed that the two projects were seperate ideas, and should be developed as such.
For now, WE are AllyKatt, Jinx, and nEVeRmOre. We could not have done all this without the help of FireGirlZero, Integrity71623, SelfMutilation.net, and (Phil).
There will be others joining us here soon, I'm sure.
SPECIAL THANKS
|
to SelfMutilation.net: for offering ideas, criticism, and the wonderful pictures that have helped make the atmosphere on the site JUST what we were looking for.
to Sollitaire: for giving us our temporary site so we could continue working on the pages and updating things during our transitional period, which went on MUCH longer than we originally anticipated.
KUDOS to you, babe! We couldn't have done it without you....
to (Phil): for helping us with hosting, and hardware/software support from the very beginning. Thanks for all your time and effort.
